Donald Santora, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has performed more than 20,000+ refractive procedures. A graduate of Allegheny College and the Penn State University College of Medicine, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at St. Francis Medical Center and Allegheny General Hospital, and he was chief resident from 1994 to 1995. In 1998, Dr. Santora completed a fellowship in refractive surgery in Mendoza, Argentina under the tutelage of Dr. Roberto Zaldivar, an international authority on refractive surgery. Dr. Santora is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons and the Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Santora has published numerous papers in ophthalmology journals and lectured on current topics in the field of laser vision correction.
Robert A. Santora, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist who has been in practice in Meadville for over forty years. A graduate of Saint Vincent College, he attended medical school at the University of Bologna in Italy. After completing his internship at the South Side Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, he went on to complete his residency at the Deaconess Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Santora then served his country in the military service in Fort Knox, KY and Vietnam. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Crawford County Medical Society, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr. Santora cares for patients of all ages for routine examinations, diabetic and glaucoma exams, and cataract evaluations including pre-operative and post-operative care, also Lasik pre-operative and post-operative care.
Dr. John M Pulito MD is a board certified ophthalmologist who has practiced in Meadville since 1989. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and his MD from the State University of New York, at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After completing a medical internship at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York where he served as Chief Resident. It was there he studied under one of the leading pediatric ophthalmologists on Long Island.
As a general ophthalmologist, Dr. Pulito performs routine exams for glasses and contact lenses, diabetic and cataract evaluations, glaucoma care and treatment, pre and post operative LASIK care, performs minor office based surgeries, and performs post cataract YAG laser capsulotomies.
Dr. Pulito is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the Pennsylvania Medical Society where he serves as the President of the Crawford County Medical Society. He also is the Secretary-Treasurer of the Meadville Medical Center Medical Staff and serves on the Executive Committee of the staff and is chair of the Bylaws committee.
On a more personal note, Dr. Pulito has been married to his wife Pat since 1979. They have three grown children and a year old granddaughter! When not working, he is a hard core New York Yankee fan and an avid game show enthusiast. In 2005 he appeared on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” with Meredith Vieira but was thwarted in his attempt to win the million dollars by the rock group Toto! He hopes to someday redeem himself by appearing on Jeopardy!
